Dustin Branch (pronouns: he/him) is a National Digital & Distributed Organizer at Unemployed Workers United (UWU). Born in the Bronx and raised in Central Florida, Dustin gained a passion for workplace democracy after working for several years in the restaurant and hospitality sector as a UniteHERE! and Teamsters union member. He began his organizing career in 2008 as an intern on the 2008 President Obama campaign, later becoming the county’s youngest elected delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
Dustin has spent over a decade fighting for working families like his own, building teams of progressive activists on campaigns across the country, including Bernie 2020, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, For Our Future Fund, Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy, and others. Growing up with an incarcerated parent and having a family affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, he believes in building a working-class social justice movement that centers the voices of those often excluded from the political process.
