José Méndez
José Méndez [they/them] is the Director of Finance and Operations at Unemployed Workers United (UWU). Working in luxury retail management and hospitality for over a decade, José knows the value of organization, attention to detail, follow-thru and communication.
Last year, José took the pivot into non-profit grassroots orgs working on behalf of marginalized communities in order to engage, educate and empower. This Summer, José worked not only on one, but two highly visible and closely followed political campaigns in NYC. A true citizen of New York City, they share the unique passion and drive of those who have given Manhattan it's Magic.
