Sebastian Del Portillo Estrada

Sebastian Del Portillo Estrada (He/Him/His) works with Unemployed workers United as the Phoenix Field Organizer. Born in Bogota, Colombia he immigrated with his mother to New Jersey when he was 9 years old. He transferred to Arizona State University to pursue his B.S in Urban Planning and minor in Sustainability. There he became involved with student organizing in the Fight for 15 Campaign, which won in arizona and provided better pay and paid sick leave for all Arizonans. After this campaign he decided to pursue community organizing and worked with Living United for Change in Arizona as a Youth Organizer, registering over 5,000 people to vote in the 2018 midterm elections, leading advocacy in the state legislature and carrying out political education and community organizing in Mesa, AZ. He believes deeply in political action through community building. In his off time he enjoys marathon running, the great outdoors, dancing and traveling to see his family in Colombia as much as he is able.
