Tanisha Williams

Tanisha Williams (she/her/hers) is UWU’s Social Media Coordinator and a New York based content creator, storyteller and creative at heart. Her involvement in social justice dates back to when she joined the Amnesty International club during senior year in high school. Ever since then she went on to intern at the NYC Mayor’s Office, Young Invincibles and continued to freelance for non-profit and grassroot organizations. She is passionate and values the power of digital storytelling. She has seen the impact of it during the pandemic after the death of Breonna Taylor. She learned that one does not have to have a Public Policy degree to make an impact.

In her free time, she enjoys writing, singing, playing music, and going out for walks.
